Thank you, AIDH! Digital Health Summit Sydney 2022
Coviu was strongly represented at this year's Digital Health Summit at the International Conference Centre, Sydney. 🤖👫🎤
From the 17th to 18th of October 2022, Coviu was honoured to attend the annual Digital Health Summit as a silver sponsor of Australia’s leading event for digital health. The event, run by eHealth NSW and the Australian Institute of Digital Health (AIDH) provided an exceptional opportunity to mingle with the country's most conversant digital health gurus.
The two-day event, provided a terrific chance for all attendees to gain access to exclusive information on the research and development priorities of the NSW Health system, and understand more about emerging trends in virtual care and health innovation, with over 1000 delegates and 150 + speakers from across the health industry.
Coviu attended in force with our representatives Kheminda and Pete joined by our enthusiastic wider team, Jarrah and Neha, for additional support. The team exhibited our latest features such as phone and group call capabilities and ran a demo that highlighted Coviu's key features in action.
A highlight was when our representative, Pete, was afforded the opportunity to discuss Coviu's approach at a chaired session on 'Know Your Patient'. As a purpose-built platform for the healthcare industry, knowing the patient is integral to Coviu's success. As Coviu expands its features and continually evolves as a virtual care engagement platform, responding to user's needs remains core to its evolution as a successful connected care system of action.
In addition to our booth presence, Our Head of Clinical Research, Dr Annie Banbury gave two presentations describing Coviu's virtual care platform in action, highlighting the flexibility of the software for various clinical uses.
The first presentation was delivered in conjunction with the University of Sydney's Associate Professor, Georgina Luscombe entitled "Wound View: Development of a comprehensive digital wound care toolkit for residential aged care". The discussion was an opportunity to highlight a joint project between Coviu and the University of Sydney to combat the increasingly prevalent wound care issue in Australia through a Wound App integrated with Coviu's software.
Annie also presented on a second topic on Day Two; "Early Intervention through telehealth: The Healthy North Coast allied health program". This highlighted the terrific results Coviu experienced delivering a pilot program to treat preschool children for occupational, sensory and speech therapy across 2020 and 2021. The project began in February 2020 at the start of the Covid-19 pandemic. Despite very challenging circumstances the project was completed. During 2020 and 2021 there were 78 cases of therapy consisting of 560 sessions involving 21 children.
Coviu would like to thank eHealth NSW and the Australian Insitute of Digital Health for hosting a terrific event and we look forward to subsequent events. For those who missed the presentations on the day, you can access the recordings via the Summit website.
