Speech Pathology Week

Speech Pathology Week seeks to promote the Speech Pathology profession and all the work they do with the 1.2 million Australians who have a communication disability. Communication is a basic human right and Speech Pathology Week seeks to make Australians aware of this.

The theme this year is Good Communication, Better Communities.

Speech Language Pearson Assessments 

Coviu has partnered with Pearson Clinical to integrate the digital stimulus books of commonly used assessments into Coviu's telehealth platform, so you can have access to the latest clinical tools all in one place. 

Pearson’s clinical assessments provide valuable insights for Speech Language professionals and more. Available on Coviu, are the following Pearson Speech Language assessments: 

CELF-5 A&NZ

The CELF-5^A&NZ helps speech pathologists to conduct language assessments of Australian & New Zealander students.

GFTA-3

The Goldman-Fristoe Test of Articulation™ 3 (GFTA™-3) measures articulation of consonant sounds.

EVT-3 A & B

Expressive Vocabulary Test Third Edition A & B (EVT-3) is a norm-referenced and individually administered test of expressive vocabulary and word retrieval based on words.

PPVT-5 A & B

Peabody Picture Vocabulary Test™ Fifth Edition A & B (PPVT™-5) is a norm-referenced and individually administered measure of receptive vocabulary based on words.

CELF P-3 A&NZ 

The CELF P-3 A&NZ is used to assess aspects of language necessary for preschool children to meet the language demands of the classroom.

How It Works

Each assessment is $15 a month per Coviu account. The digital stimulus books are embedded within the Coviu call, allowing you to display the stimuli without leaving your window. Each stimulus book is enhanced with additional security features that help prevent screenshots of stimuli from being released online.

You and your client can see each other's cursor movements over the stimulus book, enabling you to direct the client's attention. When the client selects a response, an annotation with numbers indicates the order of responses. We call these “click-markers”.
